Treat Your Momma Good

All jewelry in my Etsy shop has been discounted 20%, and I am offering free Domestic shipping til May 9th. Treat your Momma good this year and buy her something special that shows her that you care! There are some EXCELLENT deals in the shop and new stuff will slowly trickle into the shop every few days.
Got something specific in mind for her? Shoot me a convo and we’ll work out some custom orders too! I’m game!
Thanks for stopping in today. It’s been quite the week… my husband is sick and some weird thing is going on with this ankles, they are both swollen up to the size of baseballs. He can hopefully get into the Pediatrist today.
Looking forward to tomorrow, I’m going up to see Kerry for the day. We have lots of fun things planned and will probably blog all about it this weekend.   TGIF. whew!

p.s. Stop looking at that guy’s butt. I know it’s cute and everything, but daaaaang.

Thank you Etsy!

My bracelet was just on the front page of Etsy! This is especially exciting for me. I think the last time I was on the front page was ummmm. 3 years ago, it was when I first really started selling my wares. I think this might be due to their new Treasury East option. But at any rate I’m thrilled. A huge THANK YOU goes out to JarosDesigns for creating such a beautiful treasury. AND Thank you to Andrew Thornton for capturing the screenshot for me since I’m so technologically disadvantaged at times. Thank you thank you!!

Simply Zen

You can tell I was in a very zen mood last night. Feeling relaxed, putting together simple designs that emmulate this relaxed feeling. Nothing fussy. I woke up this morning with the same feeling.

And then I spent the morning with my coffee, watching and being totally mesmerized by watching Geninne paint. She’s so talented. I love the music she uses in these videos. I didn’t watch them in order but you can if you want, just scroll down to the bottom of this page.
eNjoY!

Goodies from the past week

I don’t have any new jewelry to show you today. I REALLY want to show you what I made last night but it’s probably not kosher to show off jewelry that was made for a pretty big competition… so you’ll have to wait. Which is really too bad, because according my lovely hubsand, he thinks I’mma gonna win. Awww isn’t he sweet? If only he knew what jewelry “wins”- it’s a lot more fabulous than mine!

So instead I thought I’d show off some of my goods from the past week.

First up, more of Kelley’s Eggs. I can’t help it, they are just so gorgeous!! I loved the new brown and white. I guess she made some more last night. I am gonna be so broke. (shaking head in shame)

This is one of Pam’s new pieces. Pam’s shop is so great- Indian Creek Studios. If you haven’t checked it out yet, go now. It’s so rustic. I love all of her work. I bought this little owl pendant, along with some beads that are just fantastic.

I saw this and immediately hit the purchase button. Heather Wynn’s components are some of the few that I will really splurge on.  No matter the price. I love how she did 2 colors of poly clay on this pendant, and there are nice little links at the bottom to hang little treasures on!

This is a sticker book that I got from Yaelfran. I have had a sticker addiction since I was 11 years old. (Probably longer) I have always been a Mrs. Grossman’s Sticker fan, and I love to peruse the sticker aisle at Michael’s. Lately my packaging process includes jewelry packaged in a nice brown Kraft gift box. Wrapped with some adorable Washi tape like this,  and then a nice little focal sticker on top of the box. It’s a simple packaging technique but it works well for me, it’s quick, and I can change my mood depending on the sticker I use. These stickers feature artwork from 8 Etsy artists!

This enamel bangle set was a gift to myself. I swear I need more jewelry like I need a hole in the head but I just couldn’t resist the totally cute bangle sets at Bullfinch Barbury. Lia made this set especially for me, wait. did I already tell you about this? Deja Vu.

Anyway, those are some of things that I bought. Now here are a few things that I am coveting this week…

Cutie little bird house from royroadfishcompany
OH OH OH! I love this clutch from Waterstone Jewelry
Love that these earrings are named Lorelei, from

CERAMIC KEYS! OMG!! Could these be any cuter?!
Find them at Mudaliscious

Hope you all have a great Wednesday!!

Running out the door…

These two lovelies just landed in my etsy shop.  The one above is another new design using one of Heather Wynn’s quote sticks, this time paired with a Mamacita Beadworks pewter bird bead, and one of Jubilee’s fun little ceramic house beads.

The necklace below features one of Barbara Fajardo’s polyclay flower beads. I showed them on the blog awhile back and finally am getting around to using them now. I hand-knotted the beads onto brown waxed linen cording. A variety of different glass beads, with some wood rounds and nuggets, some fluted glass, a Kelley bead mixed in and some brown seeds. The clasp is a handmade wire clasp from  MissFickleMedia.

I am mailing out 7 packages of earrings this morning and hope to get more out the door by the end of today, if I can. If you are participating in the earring swap, you need to email me with your address!! Thanks!!!

One pair per participant! You will pick a pair of earrings, and leave a comment below this post for the number you want. After all earrings are chosen, I will contact you via email and we’ll exchange addresses. We’ll then send out our goods. Please THINK IT THROUGH if you want to participate. I have no tolerance for someone that picks earrings, but then doesn’t feel like sending me anything in return.  You will be responsible for following through!!

Keep in mind, FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED!

Rules:

1. Pick ONE pair of earrings. Please pick one. Leave a comment on this post and tell me you want to participate and that the pair you chose is___. Important tip: Take notice of the COMMENTS to see which earrings have been chosen already!

2. This time, International traders are WELCOME!

3. This is a trade, so you must send me something in return. Some of the earrings here use Artisan made beads. Some do not. You decide what you think would be an even trade for the earrings, and send what you want.

4. I am looking for swaps of Beads: Stones, glass, Buttons, ceramics, clay, pewter, keys, wood, Czech glass, Lucite- whatever you’ve got that you think I could incorporate into jewelry would be awesome. I do not have a color preference.
Pendants or focals will also be cool!

5. You must leave your email address so that I can contact you to exchange mailing addresses.
My email (if you’d rather just send me your address directly) is LJEurto[at]gmail[dot]com.

Good luck to everyone and thanks for playing along!

Sunday Funday

Can you feel the excitement? Something big is brewing in the L.E. studio…. Here’s a bit of a sneak peek of the earrings for the Big Earring Swap of 2010 (happening TOMORROW!)

P1016548

The earring swap isn’t for earrings. I’m swapping earrings for BEADS. So tune in tomorrow, around 12:00est Noon. (there are 18 pairs here!)

I filled some bezels this weekend. I made a couple of earring pairs using the Patera bezels from BelloModo.com. They turned out pretty cute, just using some scrapbook paper I had on hand. BUT, (can you hear me cursing all the way up here in NY)  one of the floral bezels got a bubble. It’s my own fault, since I didn’t babysit them for an hour after they were done.  So now I’m not sure what to do. Create earring with them anyway, and hope the buyer doesn’t mind? Or just use one, and ditch the bubbled one?

P1016550

I also filled my recent Owl bracelet. One of it’s bezels also got an “after-thought” bubble. Dang it!! But it’s still super cute. I shall try to make a couple more of these owl bracelets this upcoming week. I think my cousin Carey wants this one. 🙂

See you tomorrow for the big swap!
